We as young people can sometimes forget how blessed we are to live the lives that we have. Not only do we have easy access to the essential needs in life (food, running water, housing) but we also have easy access to the unnecessary goods (mobile phones, computers, clothes, cars)!
We can forget that there are a lot of people that don’t have what we have!
That’s right, how about doing some charity work to show your kindness and that you care!!!
It is not that difficult to take the time out of your “incredibly busy schedule” to help those less fortunate.
I’m not saying take a year off and go build houses in Africa (although that wold be awesome!), but you can definitely take a few hours away from socialising and help out at a homeless shelter.
Our very own Jecca helped the homeless every week, rising before the sun even did, to serve breakfast to those in need!
If that’s not your thing, and you’re more of a girly girl, then help out at the local Op-shop/thrift-shop. I do this for a few hours once a week, and I have made some great friends and met amazing people through this!
You don’t have to do these charity works in particular, there are so many so many different ways to help out:

And these are only a few! Go online or to your local community centre to check out what you can volunteer to do!
Honestly, knowing that you have helped and improved someone’s life is just so rewarding!
So remember A.R.K because a little kindness goes a long way!!!
