I love shoes! Unfortunately though, I don’t splash out on them because I’m constantly ruining them (when did I step in mud today???) and I don’t have a money tree. But that doesn’t stop me from dreaming about the ballet flats to stilettos and everything in between of shoes! This week, I want you to join me and take a step into Shoe Land – where there is no mud to ruin these beauties and they’re all scuff free!
So I have a friend who, if she ever met you, would look at your shoes first… yep, that’s the first thing she notices. For me, it was a little bit daunting to find out, since most my shoes are cheap or worn out (I planted a $5 note in the backyard, but still no money tree). Let’s be honest though, we all love a good pair of shoes, whether you are the Victoria Beckham of shoes (fashion and all the pain that comes with it) or my Grandma Maria (who is fine in her fluffy slippers and sandals, thank you very much!).
Check out bellow at what the fashion gods have dreamt up for
us to wear this season…
Thought this trend was over… nuh uh, think again! Seems like this one isn’t ready to leave yet, and truthfully the fashion gods aren’t ready to part with it either. This season you can find Alexander Wang, Versace, Jimmy Choo all the way to Nasty Gal, selling these Ancient Greece and Rome inspired gems. You can find them as flats, stiletto heels or with a wedge. Celebrities seen connecting with their inner gladiators are Rihanna, Kourtney Kardashian, Selena Gomez and Rita Ora.
There is something so sexy and sophisticated about a pump, which keeps them as one of the most loved shoes in fashion! Usually found worn in the office, the pump has decided to come out and prove its versatility. With this season trends, you’ll find sharp pointed pumps in metallic, bright neon colours and white! Celebrities that have been keeping their feet pointed in the right direction (see what I did there???) are Jessica Alba, Miranda Kerr, Angelina Jolie and Miley Cyrus.
I’m not even kidding when I say this, but clogs are so in (this isn’t a joke!). While you may be thinking about some rubber thing that looks like a Croc, you’ll be surprised to know that clogs have improved and are walking in this season’s runway. Pair them with a cute floral dress, or a pair of your favourite ankle cut jeans and you’ll be strutting in style and comfort. Celebrities embracing the clog invasion are Katy Perry, Lily Collins, Sarah Jessica Parker and Dakota Fanning.
So which of these trends will you be rocking out this season?
