It’s time to stop dreaming about the perfect lashes and time start wearing them – with the help of fake lashes, duh! It’s already September, which means from here on in you’re going to be booked with parties. And where’s the best place to show of your pretty new lashes? At a good old party of course! Not sure which type of lashes you should go for? Keep reading to find out…
We all want thick, long, irresistibly dark lashes and while mascara helps us to achieve this, fake lashes are the best! Teamed up with a bit of eyeliner and mascara, you’ll be fooling people into thinking your lashes are just naturally gorgeous! The typical lashes you’ll find at your local shops are the strip and the individuals. Strips are best for beginners, they’re much simpler to apply, and the individuals are better for the more experienced.
But we all have different eye shapes, so what type of fakies should you be wearing?
If your eyes are shaped like almonds (think Taylor Swift) then you can get away with pretty much every lash! Individual lashes on the outer corners of the eyes will give you the perfect cat-like eyes, while feathery strips are best to make your lashes appear longer.
If you have small round eyes (think Kristen Bell) and want to make them appear bigger, apply strips with long lashes that fan up. This will make your eyes appear bigger and brighter than usual. For those with large round eyes (think Christina Hendricks), who don’t mind making their eyes appear a little bit small, you can go for the dramatic thick strips.
If you have hooded eyes (think Blake Lively), you’re able to apply lashes to the bottom of your lids to make your eyes appear more open and awake. Don’t make them too thick, as they might make your eyes appear to be drooping. Wispy lashes on the top of the lids suit best for a sexy appeal.
If you find your eyes appear to be droopy (think Maggie Gyllenhaal), then natural looking strip lashes work best for your eyes, as they give you thicker lashes without the heaviness. Be careful on how you apply your eyeliner, if done wrong it can emphasise on your eyes droop. Not good!
There you have it, your eyes are now all set for this party season! Let the parties begin!
