Ok so let’s face it, as young adults we’re not all super rich. We don’t live in super pricey mansions, driving our super pricey cars, whilst wearing our super pricey designer labels…
Well not yet, that is…
So until then we need to be smart with our money and make do with what we have.
It’s time to stop digging deep into your pockets, and start digging deep in to your wardrobe!
I know it can be hard to not purchase new pieces of clothing.
I mean, the temptation is strong when you walk past one of your favourite stores and Oh Look! They’re having a SALE!!!
I try so hard to let it slide and keep on walking…
But then, sometimes I cave, and either walk in to the store and become majorly depressed by the fact I cannot get what I desperately want OR even worse, I falter completely and actually buy something I really can’t afford in my financial situation.
It is hard. I cannot lie. Fashion is so easy to buy, it’s fun, it’s cheap at times…
But in the end it all adds up.
So as I mentioned before, It’s time to stop digging deep into your pockets, and start digging deep in to your wardrobe!
That’s right, actually go through ALL your clothes, and take out the pieces you haven’t worn in like a bazillion years… It’s amazing what you can find!
Do some seriously fab styling- great shoes, handbag, jewellery- and your friends, family, and work colleagues will think it’s a whole new wardrobe!
Who knows, even YOU may start to think it’s a new wardrobe. THE PERF PLACEBO!!!
Some of you may be thinking ‘PFFT I would rather die than be seen in some of the old scraps I have’ then think again! Stop giving me excuses and WHIP OUT THE SEWING MACHINE!
– Turn those ‘soooo 2002’ jeans into some adorable little denim short cut-offs!
-Take those way OTT shoulder pads out, and make it look like a stylin’ blazer!
-Remove those ugly sleeves so a Bad A** tank top can be worn!
As nice as it is to put on new clean and crisp clothes, sometimes the best thing to do as youngsters is to budget our money and save on items we DON’T NEED. Honestly, it will help us in the long run (then we can buy new clothes ;D )
