It is a city, without being a city.
It is a beach town, without being a beach town.
It has the mix between business and pleasure.
The Gold Coast has something for everyone.
Wow, did that sound like a commercial…

Whether you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday, place for the kids, a party, action packed…well really anything minus snow, this place is it.

Dominantly popular during Australian summer, the Gold Coast is an ideal vacation location all year round. Of course, for all the countries who see snow in their winter, the Gold Coast is still perfect in its winter because it is as cold there in winter as it is where you are in summer….

If you want tourist central; Surfers Paradise is your first pittstop.

It has gorgeous beaches, 1001 hotels and motels to stay at within walking distances of beaches, cafes, restaurant, clubs, pubs…you name it. With so many to choose from there are always options to stay at any budget.

All Gold Coast beaches are beautiful, but if you want something a little less packed, jump on the bus and head a little down the coast to Burleigh, or even further down to the Queensland and New South Wales border to Coolangatta.  These beaches are still busy, but a little less so.

And if you go to the Gold Coast, you cannot miss out on going to their Themeparks! Movieworld, Seaworld and Wet’nWild are one conjoined company; three separate parks. If you wanted to do all three, grab a parks pass and jump between them. Wet’nWild is your water park, Movieworld is Australia’s version of Hollywood (with rides) and Seaworld is the marine park, but of course with rides.

The Gold Coast also offers Dreamworld which is connected to White Water World. Dreamworld is the most action, scary ride park that Australia has to offer. White Water World their sister park, is a smaller version of Wet’n’Wild, but connected to Dreamworld for easy access between the two. (Although it is currently winter and water parks do not seem very appealing right now, if you are from a England or Canada, their winter is the perfect time for you to go. No lines and what you would classify as warm weather. )

What else?
Oh Gold Coast clubbing. Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach are the places if you want a party and a good night out. Be prepared with those wallets though because there are entry fees, and paying for drinks.

Of course, Gold Coast has more than beaches, theme parks and clubbing. They have ice skating rinks, parks, Q1 building, plenty of shopping centres, and the list goes on. Make sure you do your research before you go!!

Other than needing money, the other downside is the transport system… Be aware to leave early if you are going anywhere, purely because the bus and trains like to run late as often as they like to run on time….

If you are going to Australia, the Gold Coast is definitely somewhere you want to visit. With the best weather you will experience in all Australia, and so much to do, you will enjoy!
